when 1 degree above zero feels warm.

here's a picture my wife shot the morning after new years.  we trekked outside on new years day morning in my neighborhood in downtown minneapolis.  we wanted to capture the after effects of new years.  the junk tossed around all over the city is crazy.  it was freezing, super cold totally uncomfortable.  my mom complained that it was 50 degrees in florida.  she was born and raised here but, moved to florida in the mid 90's.  she wears a winter coat when the temp drops below 55.

guess what? i didn't leave the house.  i didn't need to.  i love doing a string of errands so if a big one is scratched like picking up my art from a gallery that gives me an out to getting done the other stuff.  so good news - i stayed warm, worked in my studio. i'll venture out friday.

ps - good news my brother greg just finished his degree.

it's on my list

art pick up today from spot art and soo vac.  no problem.  it's not even a lot of stuff.  i just don't want to leave the house. 6 degrees and snowing.  you can't own enough clothes to keep yourself warm.  so i'm going to string together a few things.  all i want to do is work on projects and listen to the new soft pack and the new yeasayer album.

oh, the new Retribution Gospel Choir is the album i wasn't ready for.  it blew me away.  the album comes out the end of the month but, you can stream some tracks here.
